A short biology lesson.

Today's biology lesson:

English Literature major [him] + Elementary Education major [her] =

=
Books, please.

= More books, mommy.

=
Read to me! Read to me! Read to me!

=
more book time
than even we bargained for!

=
one
major {bookworm} babe.

Must be the genes.

But I have to wonder about all those late-night study sessions [when she was just a twinkle in her daddy's eye] where we read our textbooks out loud to keep ourselves awake.
Which only worked sometimes.

And the daily read-alouds in mommy's kindergarten classroom in utero. She and I heard every book twice, once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
Could it have done something to her baby brain?
[some kind of fetal reading syndrome, perhaps.]

Further observation and experimentation will be required to test these theories.

Until then,

Goodnight moon, goodnight chair, goodnight laptop, goodnight basket of books that was just put away... again.

Shhhhhh.
