My lovely mother is a practical woman.
So I guess it seemed a practically perfect practice to simply buy two of the same outfit for both of her daughters.
Thus, Heather and I wore matching outfits for the first, oh, nine or ten years of our lives.

But that was okay
because
[much to my mother's dismay]
I didn't give a fig about clothes until, oh, eighth grade or so.
[mostly I just hated the shopping part.]
But I am beginning to believe all that seeing double must have done something to my brain.
Because lately,
people are always saying
"Oh, look! You and Janie match!"
I am alarmed.
We do? I think to myself.
I look down, and sure enough, we do match!
And I have no idea how it happened.

hahaha, guess what! I think one of those pink shirts in the last picture made it to my closet!!! I used to love your clothes, and every now and then I remember getting some of the things you grew out of, and I loved them (and might I add, I felt SO cool)! Glad to know someone else was getting the exact same outfits you were passing on to me, since you had doubles of everything. ;)
