and speaking of cake...
Continuing with the theme of cakes for my up and coming niece Abigail Rose, my baby shower gift was a diaper cake [have you heard about these?] No baking involved whatsoever! The inside is made of rolled up disposable diapers. I give any and all credit to the flowers. Moments before they went on the cake, I was mentally rehearsing some poignant apologies about how bad the thing looked. Take cues from Cinderella's mice: never underestimate the finishing touches.
