Monday Memory: Fish Faces '98

Shelley, Tenesa and Lauri, 1998

Yesterday I got to sit down and visit with some of my best friends from high school.
People are often surprised that we are still in touch.
We are just surprised that so much time has passed.

We all grew up in the same neighborhood and walked to and from school together through junior high and high school. From sleepovers to Sunday school, we pretty much shared it all.
Guess that kind of cements things.

Of course, there are also all those home movies we made through the years.
We all know that if any of our friendships went south those could end up in the wrong hands.
(or website.)

No, really, we would never do that.

Right, girls?

Topics of conversation included:
world traveling
raging hormones
baby announcements
baby names
bosses
coworkers
husbands
parents
employment [or the lack thereof]
trials
missionary opportunities
church callings
neighborhood updates
divorces
pets
how Facebook is the closest we care to get to a high school reunion
friends
the grass on the other side
life as we know it [and knew it]
and lots of laughs, compliments of an old photo album

Sheesh.
It's like we're grown-ups or something.

When did that happen?
